The sound of pitter patter

In New Life we don't just do drama, we do so much more! When we go to a church we like to stay for a couple of days, that way we can get to know the people of the church. We like to show people Jesus on and off the stage. If that is through talking and getting to know them, or by serving them, we don't care. We just want to love everyone like we are called to.

John 13:35

"By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

For one particular church, we spent time with a lot of the congregation as we usually do, having dinner, playing games etc… One night we had dinner with a young couple. There was just two of them, no kids, and an empty house. There was something in my spirit that just didn’t feel right, but I’m not going to ask someone I barely know why they didn’t have kids, so I left it alone. We had a Sunday service and I was the speaker. Throughout the whole service God broke my heart for this woman; her name was on my heart. At the end of the service, like all of our services, we did an altar call. God prompted me to go pray for her. But not just about anything, she needed prayer for children. But how could I just impose and pray for this woman to have kids after I’ve met her once? I thought of all the girls on my team and which one I should ask to pray for her, but I had a sense that God didn’t just give me a heart for this woman so I could pass the task to someone else. But I didn’t go up to her, I waited. I was incredibly nervous, but I knew that this wasn’t just me thinking I knew best, this was what God was telling me to do. I don’t remember how or where or when but I found myself praying for the couple. I prayed… “God fill their house with the sound of pitter patter of little feet, not just their kids, but grandkids as well. God please just fill their house with the joy of children.”

The next week I received a message from the wife. She wanted to thank me for praying over her and her husband. She told me that previously they had someone pray over them that they would hear the sound of pitter patter as well and she told me how much peace she received when multiple sources told her the same exact thing and that this was the confirmation she needed.

Here recently we have received another message from the woman. Not only has God heard her prayers, but has opened up her door to adopt two beautiful little girls.

What promises has God spoke over you that you need to keep believing for?

Never stop praying for those things.

Philippians 1:6

For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.
