Winter 2010 Newsletter
This was my first tour. I had the pleasure of being on Team #2. My teammates were Ben Griffith, Ashley Eymard, Charlie Langfield, Ellen Riley, and Brandon Chapman. This tour God really had his hand on us. He did crazy, amazing, and wonderful things! If I had to sum up the tour with just one word, I would use the word "Shift". There was even a church that we had gone to that the Youth Pastor's name was "Shift". This word means so much to me now. God showed my team and I that He wants to bless us. Our family, our friends, co-workers and bosses. He even wants to bless the people that we may not get along. If he wants to bless you He will. If you are waiting, hoping, when you least expect it, He will bless you.
In Acts 3 there is a story about a crippled beggar sitting at a gate. We are told in this story that this man sits at the gate daily. Sounds to me like he was waiting for something. Peter and John came along on their way to the temple called "beautiful". While passing the beggar Peter said "Look at us!". At once the beggar gave his attention to Peter, because he was expecting to recieve something!
Like the beggar in Acts, we have to be patient and come expecting God to come through for us and meet our needs! Sometimes I think we get confused and think that God will provide all of our wants. He will provide our needs, with our best interest at heart every time. The crippled man was healed and began shouting and praising God! As soon as he was heald God began to do a mighty shift in his life. He wants to do the same for you and I. All He requires is for us to come expecting! Don't limit God. I pray that God speaks to you as He did me and opens your heart to what He wants to give.
In closing, I am a firm believer that prayer works. A few of the things to keep on your prayer list is continued unity on our teams and in our ministry, continued blessings with finances, also more of God, and revival!
Thank you for all your time!
