Higher Ways
I have just finished my first tour and it was absolutely amazing! I have been able to see so many places and have seen God work in other people's lives like never before! There are so many testimonies that I could possibly tell you that happened in this tour, but I'm going to tell you the one that stuck out to me the most.
We were at a particular church in Illinois for the whole weekend. We were missing one team member that weekend, so we had to cram to learn new skits and even re-do some skits to make them workable for just 4 people. We had a workshop and a couple of services that weekend, and we were just having problems adjusting to the changes. We do a Sunday morning service for this church and we just weren't doing very well, lines were getting messed up and the acting wasn't the greatest...we were just lacking. But when it came time for the altar call that morning, God just simply poured out his spirit and anointing in that place like I've never seen before! About half the church was up there crying and you could just feel that God was changing hearts in that church! In the midst of it all, a guy that we had been talking to all weekend came up to our team and was just crying, and he told us that from that day forward he is going to surrender his life to God completely. He said if he is called to preach and be a minister--he'll do it, if God wants him to quit college and do something else--he'll do it for God. He told us that God really ministered to him through our drama, and that he was tired of running from God's calling and will for his life, he wanted to God's will--not his. That was amazing!
So what I'm getting at here is that there were so many services this tour like this one, when we thought we just did a bad job delivering, but God still poured out all of his blessing on the service every time. In fact, those were the services where God moved the most! Isaiah 55:8-9 says, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts." We often tend to paint these pictures of what something should look like or how it should go, but when it doesn't look that way or turn out that way right away, then we want to think that everything went wrong, but in all reality, God thinks differently than we do--his ways are perfect, even though they might not make a whole lot of sense to us as to why he does things the way he does. What God has taught me this tour is that it is not our strength as a drama team or even our actual drama itself that is causes the Holy Spirit to move mightily, it is God in us that changes people's lives. God wanted us to know that it was because of him and that he is in full charge and control!! Wow...it has been an amazing experience!
I would like to thank all of you for supporting me and the ministry as a whole. We just had a team get back from a mission's trip to England, and they had a great time! We will be taking another mission's trip this winter, if you would like to support and donate money, there is a PayPal link at the bottom of page for each cast member. Once again, I thank you for all of your giving.
God bless!
