Are we completely humble before God? This tour God showed me what it really means to be truly humbled before Him. Despite situations, circumstances, and problems--we can still lay our burdens down at the throne of God and rely on Him!

This tour our team was given many opportunities to be a blessing and serve others! All tour long we got to move people into new houses, paint murals, lay carpet, rake yards, clean out sheds, trim branches, clean carpet stains, build counters, wash vehicles, make blankets! We just had all these amazing chances to be blessings to our hosts and to the churches that we have gone to, and we took those and did it without letting ourselves get in the way. And it wasn't until the last couple of weeks of the tour that one of our hosts said something to us about being such a blessing to them for serving them. Now I'm not saying that nobody said that before, but it just clicked inside of me that we have done these things without hesitation because of the joy and humbleness inside of us. Even though there were some things that were being asked of us that we had absolutely NO clue about…we still did it! And it paid off, because we were able to be a blessing when we didn't have to be, we were able to show Christ's love through serving others! And best of all, we were able to strengthen and encourage the body of Christ through that! With God nothing is impossible!

In these last few months God has revealed to me a certain scripture. That scripture is Psalm 119:9-11 which says, "How can a young man keep his way pure? By keeping your Word. I have sought You with all my heart; don't let me wander from Your commands. I have treasured Your Word in my heart so that I may not sin against You." At times it feels like we are just walking down the road of familiarity and so we're just walking along and then BAM….what do you know, the road has ended! What do we do now? Do we turn around? Do we backslide a little bit or give up? These are a lot of options that we have, but rarely do some of us actually come to the end of ourselves and give God everything! How can we stay in God's will for our lives? It's simple, just read and keep God's word! It's only whenever it seems that we've come to the end of the road whenever we stray to the left or the right. But let me say this again…"don't let me wander from Your commands." When we get to that place in our lives where there seems to be nowhere to go…don't just wander away….but keep pressing on towards our higher calling in Christ Jesus! Now we all know that scripture that states prides comes before a……what? It comes before a fall in our lives. This whole tour for me was centered on the word "humble." How can we be humble? We can become humble by getting rid of self-centeredness, self-life and start treasuring God's word in our lives. We have to remember that it's not always about US. But it is about God, it is about living a humbled life before God, laying down our insecurities and problems. Whenever we can truly be honest and completely humble ourselves before God, that's whenever we will see the breakthrough in our life that we may have been praying for years to get!

I want to take this time now at the end of my newsletter and dedicate it to thank each and every one of you just for reading this! And I also want to thank you for all of your support while I am traveling and moving on to my second year in the ministry! But there is one thing I would like to talk about, while we are in the NLDC we like to take some missions trips. And this fall we have a team going to England and I would love to be able to have that opportunity. But I unfortunately I can't do anything without your support, so I want to thank you for what God puts on your heart to provide.

Thank you once again and God bless!
Dusty
