Pressing On

This tour was full of testimonies and life changing events than I will never forget! He tested me to stretch my faith and help me grow like never before and revealed to me how amazing he truly is.

In April, I found out that my mom had pancreatic cancer. This cancer is called the silent killer because by the time it is found you usually have about a year to live. God provided a way for my mom's cancer to be found early so it could still be removed and I flew home to be with her. When I got to the hospital and saw my mom's face I knew that everything was going to be alright. She had so much faith in God that it was just shining through her. She went into surgery the next morning encouraging me and my family; I’m thinking "aren't we suppose to be encouraging her?" My mom trusted God the whole time, and seeing that made me trust Him. She came out of the surgery better than alright, she was talking and laughing with us and she wasn't even suppose to be conscious for at least 3 days. God moved in that hospital showing everyone what He can do. He also gave me the opportunity to pray for the man who’d been in a car accident and was in the room across from my mom. I know that God's hand was on my mom and the whole situation ever since the beginning, He took care of her and is still blessing us and it's really affected my life and changed my outlook on so many things. God is amazing!

God revealed something to me this tour while at a camp fire having devotions one night. We read about God telling Abraham to take his son Isaac to Moriah and sacrifice him as a burnt offering. Many people read this story and admire Abraham for being faithful and loving God enough to sacrifice his son as an offering. It takes a lot of faith and love in order to do something like that; honestly, how many of us would sacrifice someone we love for God? Yes, Abraham deserves a lot of credit for doing that, but I want to look at Isaac for once. If you read Genesis chapter 22:1-17, and look at it through Isaac's point of view, you might see things in your life today very differently. Isaac had to truly love and trust his father, Abraham, in order for any of this to happen. Isaac followed his father up the mountain that he was going to be sacrificed on, he had no idea what they were going to use for their sacrifice, but he trusted his father and followed him anyway. Abraham put the wood for the altar on Isaac's shoulders for him to carry up the mountain, and the knife that would be used on him. Isaac carried his own cross, just as Jesus walked up the mountain carrying his cross, Isaac carried what he was going to be sacrificed on, and the knife that was suppose to kill him, but he kept walking and kept following his father. That was probably a lot of wood that he was carrying, it had to be enough to build an altar, but Isaac kept walking and obeying Abraham. He trusted Abraham even when he was being tied to the altar. If you don't know the story, God had an angel stop Abraham and He told him that because he was obedient, he would be blessed beyond measure, and God provided them with a ram to sacrifice. Now, if we look at our lives today, how much are we truly following and trusting God? We go through a lot in this life, we end up carrying a load on our shoulders that can get very tiring, but if we just press on and trust our Heavenly Father, just as Isaac trusted Abraham, God will provide us with what we need in order to make it. Isaac questioned his father, and sometimes in life we are going to question God, but what's important is that we trust His answers and know that He has EVERYTHING under control. No matter what God has put on us and told us to do, even when it doesn't make any sense, we trust Him and keep following Him.

Thank you for all of the prayers and support that I have gotten again this tour. I've stayed with amazing people this tour and I can't thank you enough for taking care of our team and helping this ministry. I especially want to thank the hosts that helped me and took care of me when I had to fly home, giving me a ride to the airport, helping me financially, and allowing me to stay in your homes. So many people helped me and you all are amazing and you were such a huge blessing.

God Bless You!!!  Brittany
